All teachers are incompetent. There are people who really dislike you. Nothing is as good as it seems. Things don’t last. No one is paying attention. The country is dying. God doesn’t care. Ssshhh."George Carlin wrote that.. Another author I respect wrote that as a culture we cannot get better if we don’t look at our past honestly and not try to pretend everything is perfect now.. I guess the thought is that we’re all scared of this stuff, and if we don’t look at it or face it then we’ll never get past it.. George Carlin did that , oh he made dirty jokes and used humor to do it, to look at truth and fear and our craziness.. and oh it made me sad to hear he died today, that’s all.
